[Big Battle Mod!!] Help wanted |

So over the past ~9 months or so, I've worked on this very ambitious battle project that currently has the following main features:
(Some) Features
- FFA mode - No teams in battle! Results determined by individual points!
- All karts playable in battle mode
- Bob-omb blast and other custom item gamemodes
- Loading more than 10 battle tracks at once using ct-code's custom menus (I think there are around 40 battle tracks right now?)
- "No Mercy" gamemodes, which is basically online battle difficulty cranked up to 11 >
- Change characters in between battles (Working in both frooms and custom region)
- Changes to BR system in the custom region, as well as other small changes.
- Ugly version of shine thief.
- + More features I may have forgotten at the moment.
Videos of some of the features(Only shows some of the features):
FFA + All vehicles in battle + More than 10 battle tracks
https://youtu.be/oRuqj1nnNq4
Bob-omb blast, "No Mercy" mode (OUTDATED!)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoHV0ohcG_Y
One of my main reasons for creating this project in the first place is because I want to see the battle community thrive again - like it did years ago. To be completely honest, the battle scene on Wiimmfi is... quite sad. Its not as active, there can be a lot of toxicity towards others at times despite the smaller amount of players, and unlike VS mode (which seems to have endless custom track packs and mods created..) battle doesn't seem to get as much love from what I've seen mod-wise. I believed that a custom battle mod such as this could help bring activity and new players - raising interest in battle mode again. I have made a lot of progress thus far in this project, but there are some bugs i'm having trouble destroying.
With this said, I've come to realize something. I think I may have hit my (current) limit here. This project consists of ASM codes which modify the game to create the features listed. I have only recently began learning ASM coding (about 5 months ago?) and barely have any other experience in programming so far other than Java (Honestly, quite a bit of Java though.) I've worked on C++ a bit but only the very basics. As a result, I do not have sufficient experience and knowledge to create this battle pack reliably - ESPECIALLY doing so alone. It is doable, for sure. But, it will take extremely long since life can get busy with jobs and college - and it only gets worse. I will also need to take the time to pick up on more programming concepts and whatnot as well. Thankfully, I study Computer Science in school so over time I'll keep improving and learning more.
Sorry for the entire story here, but to sum this up:
If anyone is willing to take a look at my current source code thus far and maybe help work on it (Or at least suggests ways on improving it) - I would greatly appreciate it.
Working on this project alone is quite troublesome. Let me know if interested, I can provide source as well as some more detail on what my plans are, how this project is implemented, etc.

I've been lingering here for a while and its about time I introduce myself. I enjoy creating custom tracks, making custom music, and making asm codes. I always try and do stuff that's way too ambitious, and most of the time I have no idea what I'm doing.
i cant wait to say this and then never actually post anything here again lol

hello, i'm new here! i'm kuxu, as you probably saw already. i've been playing mkwii for years, but i've never completed a license. i'm getting really close though! as of writing this i only need to complete star cup, special cup, leaf cup, and lightning cup, all on mirror mode.
edit (3/3/20): i just completed the mirror star cup!
i'm also really into modding the game as well! i'm currently working on changing music in the game. i know how to, but i can't convert my files to .brstm because every single program that can do that requires windows. i'm a mac user. i tried using winebottler, that didn't work. i tried using a vm, that freezes my computer.
anyway, though, i really hope to have a good time here! see you around!

Read/Write SD for Brawl, why not |

Been bored of MKW, so why not put some work in on Brawl...
For anyone who cares, this is a code for Brawl (NTSC-U) that can read/write to/from the SD card. It works for both the Console and Dolphin-Emulator. Unfortunately, I was unable to figure out how to manually mount the SD whenever I want to. So this "code" is hooked right after the SD has been mounted by the game when you enter in Stage Builder.
Maybe someone can figure out how to manually mount/unmount the SD. I used a Symbol Map for this. Star provided me this symbol map when he was working on Read File From SD for MKWii.
Link to Brawl Symbol Map - https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/attachments/5898/
Feel free to view the Symbol Map for other operations such as Removing SD files, Seeking SD files, Getting size of SD files, etc.
Link to code - http://mkwii.com/nonmkwcodes/
Notes to consider about the source: There's no need to close the file the 2nd time due to upcoming shutdown, but it's shown for demo purposes. There's no need to backup the fd pointer a 2nd time because it will be the same value since the previous file was closed and the next file was opened before any other files were opened beforehand. Once again, that was done for demo purposes.

If this guide is in the wrong place, you can safely move this to the correct section.
How to access Wiimmfi on Wii without a SD Card
This guide will teach you how to connect to Wiimmfi on a Wii console without a SD Card using the Internet Channel.
This guide is mainly for Beginners.
Chapter 1: Introduction
Requirements
A Wii with System Menu 4.3
Internet Connectivity
A game compatible with Wiimmfi
Special NOTE: This method does not work on vWii (Virtual Wii/Wii Mode on Wii U)!
Chapter 2: Actually Doing It
Go into Internet Channel from the Wii Menu.
Click on the third bubble from the left.
Type in “chadsoft.co.uk/wiimmfi.”
When the page loads, make a bookmark, it should name itself “Wiimmfi”
Now exit out of Internet Channel and re-enter.
Go to Bookmarks and select the “Wiimmfi” bookmark you made earlier.
A bar should appear now, usually saying 6/8, it should quickly transition to the Auto Wiimmfi Patcher.
Assuming a game disc is in the disc drive, the game should boot.
Just now try going online through the Nintendo WFC section and you should be connecting to Wiimmfi.
That's literally it!

Question about item-cheats and possible online bans |

Hi guys,
I would like to mod my Wii to be able to cheat items for my offline shortcut trainings which would save much time obviously. I have never done anything like that and it will be my first try. I will use the guide in the forum here.
But before I start I am concerned about a possible online ban because of that. I don't want to use them online and just for training reasons. Are there any dangers? What should I put attention on?
Thanks in advance

Updated Item Rain Code |

Item Rain is in my opinion an alternative mode to VS, battle and countdown. But I don't want to install CTGP to get the "All items can land"-Item Rain Feature. I have looked into the normal Item Rain code and found the Instructions for the dropping Items. Now I calculated my own probabilities and updated the code in the main codes forum to make all items fall down.
Here are the codes for PAL and NTSC-U:

Of Course, its recommended to use it together with the "All items can land" code
For X, Y, Z values, please look at post 37 of this thread to see an explanation how to fill out these values.
I tested it offline with and without item boxes. I haven't found the time to test it online yet, but it should work online.
I hope you have fun with this rewritten code.

EDIT: Updated Codes!! And removed Star Bug.
EDIT2: Updated code description and added information how to fill out XYZ values

Hello,
I found this Time Control Code together with a Youtube Video, and I removed the checksums in this code to make it work.
Here are the codes:

Explanation: The YYYYZZZZ button pauses the timer, the VVVVWWWW button unpauses the timer. While the timer is paused, you can increase or decrease the time with the RRRRSSSS and TTTTUUUU buttons. However, unpausing and increasing/decreasing is possible, but pausing (red marked) does not work. I thought one of you might find the function for it. Then the code would be complete.
Is it good enough to post? Thank you already for the answer.
