I know that Vultr only charges $3 per month for their lowest grade VPS.

Need more info. What OS are you running the server on? Are you trying to connect on Wii or Dolphin? etc etc

Thanks for the quick reply.  I am using Windows 10 following this video.  It worked when I set it up on my old pc awhile back.

I am trying to get it to work on Dolphin 5.0.  I patched the game using wiimmfi patcher v3.  I made sure to restart dnasmasq as well as apache 2 on Ubuntu.  All I want to do is host MK WII locally on my PC for 6 instances.  I don't have to use Ubuntu it was just what I used before.

It's always best to test the connection on the Wii console first.

Anyway, you need to setup manual DNS on your Windows Machine that forces nintendowifi.net to point to your Server's Private IP. I don't have a Windows Machine, so I won't be much help with that subject, Google is your friend.

If you have any manual DNS on the Wii settings of the Wii Menu of your NAND, remove it.

Instead of using a patching method. Just use the No SSL code on a clean iso- https://mkwii.com/showthread.php?tid=56&...ght=no+ssl

And Dolphin 5.0 as in 5.0 stable? Why not use a modern version?

I was told it would only work in 5.0.  I set it to point to my LAN IP and DNS 10.0.0.25 on my ethernet LAN adapter.  I tried your Bypass code but it was on a patched version.  I will try on a clean version now.

When I put the bypass code in it gives this error:

Get off 5.0, use a modern version.

I personally use Dolphin versions 10413 and 10886 (with DNS setup on Debian 10 editing the dhclient.conf) and can connect to dwc servers perfectly find. All i can really say is be sure your DNS settings on your Window machine is correct.

EDIT: Also use a real NAND, not the default NAND supplied by Dolphin

Why are you using Window 10 for hosting it? Just asking.

He's not using Windows 10 for hosting. He's using Dolphin Emu on his Windows 10 machine to connect to his server that's running on Ubuntu.
