I've watched another Nintendo Treehouse video showcasing MKWorld's Grand Prix mode. I don't get why they think that doing 2 sections of driving in mostly straight lines followed by a lap in an actual circuit would be better than three laps in the actual circuit.

I thought you would drive three laps of the track, then drive over to the next one to secure positions then drive three laps. I'm slightly disappointed that this is not the case. After anti-cuts in MK8DX were discovered, I think they just decided to remove all chances of a lap skip, (which is not technically realistic timeline wise but whatever
