Is it divisive like the pineapple on pizza thing?

No, because no one even talks about the fact how people put beans into chili for no other reason than filler

Oh so it's like how a few friends of mine absolutely despise parsley (I hope that's how you say it in English)

I wouldn't say it's like that. Also, I thought it was cilantro that everyone either liked or despised (parsley looks very similar so maybe it has the same effect)

I mean here in Italy there's a saying that parsley goes on everything/is everywhere. I don't think we used it that much at home, but like in the canteen at uni it was always there, and like I said a few friends of mine despised it. They really liked garlic tho

Also, unrelated, but sun squirrel told me a few months ago that you shouldn't eat parsley if you're pregnant. This was brought up because she told me there's an Italian version of the story of Rapunzel where she's named Prezzemolina (prezzemolo is the Italian name of parsley), and that she's got that name because her mom always craved parsley while pregnant (if I remember correctly)

PS I just looked it up on the Italian Wikipedia and apparently Prezzemolina is Italo Calvino's version. I read a couple of his books back in the day. Huh.
