So today (June 14, 2023) is a national day of mourning in Italy, because two days ago a former prime minister died. He was one of the most influential people in this country, but also very controversial, and I mean very controversial. This probably isn't that important. The guy's dead. But still it's weird that he gets to be celebrated like that. Also like the only two former prime ministers that got this treatment before were also former heads of state. It's weird.
