GCN controller adapter code request

Is there anyway to make the GCN adapter function like normal gcn controllers on mkwii for like a wii u or wii (family)? i know ctgp has this but it would be nice to have this as a code.

There's an open source brainslug module for it, although I've heard it's a slightly outdated version that has an obscure float bug from not disabling interrupts somewhere that it should've. https://github.com/Chadderz121/wup-028-bslug
