I don't know the legal situation exactly: I know that downloading ISOs is illegal, but what about RAM dumps? Normally that should be allowed, right?

If so, you can simply download the RAM dumps. For example, the MKW code generator also uses RAM dumps to port codes.

I would think that downloading/redistributing RAM dumps would fall under piracy because inside of those RAM dumps is still Nintendo’s code. Though, TBH I really think that if they were to go after people because of RAM dumps, they would truly be schizophrenic.
