Spelling bees are not a thing in Italy. Not even dictation championships. It's cool to have spelling rules that are simple enough. Spanish spelling is even simpler tho.

I remember when a friend of mine was trying to teach me how to pronounce the ض. My first attempts were very funny. By the end I was kinda managing to do it. It's been almost four years and I'm rusty so I don't think I would be able to say ضفدع anymore.
