RE: Chinese Top Ten (under construction) - Vega - 02-28-2018

NOTES:

On LC: There's a 1:28.942 time with the Mii Name morio on LC. However, the Client ID of morio matches morior therefor proving it is a spam time by morior.

On rSGB: Morior's mii name for his time is 'morio' but I put Morior to match his name on his faster LC time.

FAQ:

Why are some Top Tens incomplete?
Because nobody bothered to log all the data of every track. Since the Nintendo WFC servers are shutdown, it is impossible to get the data.

Are there any vids/recordings of any of these times?
Yes, Xer (the first ever to access China via Hacks) made this YT channel a long time ago during the WFC era - https://www.youtube.com/user/ChinaMKW

He also uploaded some Taiwan Top 10 Times.

I know a person who lives in China and has some times for the top tens, can you add them?
No, because the Chinese Wii was never made public, many Chinese players were forced to use Japanese Wiis or PAL Wiis. These top tens are simply a historical look back of how the top tens would look like when you viewed them. It would be virtually impossible to get all the Chinese Players' times added on here.

What is a Chinese Wii?
Nintendo released these Wiis to the public - American, European, Australian, Japanese, Taiwanese, and Korean. A Wii for Mainland China was never released to the public. iQue (contracted by Nintendo to produce the 3DS) made an unknown amount of prototype Chinese Wiis sometime during the early days of the WFC era. The Chinese Wii had its own unique Mii Channel that was capable of using Simplified Chinese characters (proven by the 9th ranked player in LC). An unreleased Chinese Disc was also made, and it (by proof that no other MKW Disc can read the 9th ranked players name) had it's own unique font file capable of reading Simplified Chinese characters. Thus the Chinese Wii would also have its own unique WIi Menu (in Simplified Chinese) to be able to read & boot the Chinese Wii Disc. Since every time on the Chinese leaderboards had the country code of China, this means the Chinese Wii did not allow country selection ability it its Wii Menu (similar to how the Japanese, Taiwanese, and Korean Wiis are).

If the Chinese Wii was never made public, how do we have times for those top tens?
Most likely they were done by the iQue Staff for various wifi/ghost functionality tests.

Are there any ghost files left of any of these times?
Unfortunately, no. However (due to Maschell's Top 1000 rankings that stores Mii data), we do have all the Mii Data for Luigi Circuit! https://mkwii.com/showthread.php?tid=1564

I have a RMCC01 ISO that is in Chinese, isn't this the Chinese Disc and why can't I access China Region ID with it?
That ISO is actually a customized Japanese ISO made by a [A9]Star (Taiwan player). He most likely made that ISO to help the Taiwan community since Taiwan Wiis use a Japanese system menu and run the Japanese MKW Disc. Technically if [A9]Star wanted to be 100% correct to mimic a Taiwanese ISO, he should have put the game ID as RMCW01. 'W' is the official fourth latter on Game ID's by Nintendo for Traditional Chinese games, Only 8 'Taiwanese' (NTSC-T) official Wii games exist. They use the Japan Disc Region Code (fyi: Disc Regions are NOT the same thing as MKW Region ID's) to be read by the Japanese system menu of the Taiwan Wii. This means you can run those games on a Japan Wii with no hacks/mods.

LOL

There are videos of those times. How did that person access China region?

RE: Chinese Top Tens - Vega - 03-04-2018

It can only be accessed via ocarina codes. And that person with the videos of those times is Xer.

So would it be possible to access the China region on Wiimmfi or were the codes never released to the public?

RE: Chinese Top Tens - Vega - 03-08-2018

Codes to change region ID is all over the web, its even here on the Codes Forum, yes you can access it on Wiimmfi. You can access it on any server unless you are talkin about TT charts in general, which I know only Wiimmfi has TT charts/rankings
